Indications / Uses
Treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men w/ enlarged prostate; to improve symptoms, reduce the risk of the need for surgery including transurethral resection of the prostate & prostatectomy; reduce the risk of symptomatic progression of BPH.

Special Precautions
Evaluate for prostatic carcinoma prior to therapy. Careful evaluation of any sustained increase in PSA levels. Severe renal impairment (CrCl <10 mL/min). Intraoperative Floppy Iris Syndrome (IFIS)
Side Effects / Adverse Reactions
Ejaculation disorder. Tamsulosin: Dizziness. Occasionally, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hypersensitivity reactions. Finasteride: Decreased libido & ejaculation vol, breast enlargement & tenderness, rash.
Dosage / Direction for Use
Adult & elderly 200 mcg/5 mg once daily. May be titrated up to 400 mcg/5 mg once daily. Mild to moderate hepatic & renal impairment 200 mcg/5 mg once daily.
