Special Precautions:
Severe hemorrhage, patients at risk of bleeding eg, GI ulcer, patients w/ underlying disorders of haemostasis, history of haemorrhagic CVA, undergoing major surgery including dental surgery, using anticoagulants or platelet antiaggregant drugs including low dose ASA. Renal insufficiency. Avoid abrupt discontinuation as may induce myoclonic or generalised seizures in myoclonic patients. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly

Dosage / Direction for Use:
Symptomatic treatment of psycho-organic syndrome & treatment of vertigo 2.4-4.8 g/day in 2 or 3 divided doses. Myoclonus of cortical origin Initially 7.2 g/day, increasing by 4.8 g every 3 or 4 days. Max: 24 g in 2 or 3 divided doses. Acute episode: Reduce dose by 1.2 g every 2 days or every 3-4 days for Lance-Adams syndrome. Dyslexia in combination w/ appropriate measures eg, speech therapy Childn & adolescent ≥8 yr 3.2 g/day (8 mL of 20% soln bid or 2 tab of 800 mg).
