IMMUNOSIN 60ML SYRUP (BOTTLE)

Dosage / Direction for Use Usual adult dose: 50 mg/kg/day up to max 4 g/day in divided doses every 6-8 hr. Usual childn dose: 50 mg/kg/day up to max 100 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 4-6 hr. Tab Adult 2 tab every 6 hr for 5-14 days. SSPE Adult & childn 50-100 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 4 hr continuously w/ regular monitoring. Herpes simplex Adult 1 g every 6 hr for 7-14 days. Genital warts Adult 1 g every 8 hr for 14-28 days, as an adjunct to standard topical (podophyllin) or surgical (carbon dioxide laser) treatment. Syr Duration of treatment: 5-14 days. Adult & elderly 20 mL every 6-8 hr. Childn 7-12 yr 5 mL every 4-6 hr; 3-6 yr 3 mL every 4-6 hr; 1-2 yr 2 mL every 4-6 hr. Infant 7-12 mth 1.5 mL every 4-6 hr; birth to 6 mth 1 mL every 4-6 hr. Administration Should be taken with food. Contraindications Hypersensitivity. Gout or elevated uric acid blood levels. Special Precautions Patients w/ history of gout, hyperuricemia, urolithiasis, nephrolithiasis; renal impairment. Regularly monitor serum & urine conc of uric acid, blood count, liver & renal functions if administered continuously ≥3 mth. Pregnancy & lactation. Side Effects / Adverse Reactions Transient elevation of urine & serum uric acid levels. Interactions Increases plasma levels & prolongs t½ of zidovudine. Xanthine oxidase inhibitors or uricosuric agents including diuretics.
