Cortal Flu Tablet is used for Common cold, Flu, Periods pain, Bronchopulmonary dysplasia in premature infants, Fever, Cold, Headache, Toothache, Ear pain, Joint pain and other conditions. Cortal Flu Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Cortal Flu Tablet contains Caffeine, Chlorphenamine Maleate, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride as active ingredients. Cortal Flu Tablet works by increasing the pain threshold and increases the blood flow across the skin, heat loss and sweating; decreasing the swelling in the nose and ears; blocking a certain natural substance called histamine; antagonizing the adenosine receptors;

Take this product by mouth as directed. Follow all directions on the product package, or take as directed by your doctor. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. This medication should only be used as needed, not on a regular basis. Though very unlikely, this medication may be habit-forming. Do not increase your dose, take it more frequently than directed, or take it regularly for a long time. This medication may cause withdrawal reactions, especially if it has been used regularly for a long time or in high doses. In such cases, withdrawal symptoms (such as headaches, mental/mood changes such as irritation/nervousness) may occur if you suddenly stop using this medication. To prevent withdrawal reactions, your doctor may reduce your dose gradually. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details, and report any withdrawal reactions right away.
